Interview: Aurélie GIORDAN, Production Project Manager

An exciting job with varied skills!

Aurélie, production project manager, joined the Smartclic team three years ago. She tells us how she discovered her passion for this job and what drives her daily work alongside the agency’s clients.

At the age of 18, Aurélie decided to travel. It was an opportunity to find herself while discovering the world. After three years in Australia and five in Canada, where she goes back to her studies in Human Resources, she then came back to live near her family in Vence, in the Alpes Maritimes.
The Smartclic agency was at the time located in the next village, in Saint-Jeannet. When she accepted a three-month fixed-term contract as a sales assistant, she never imagined that it would change her life so much.

Today, Aurélie, passionate about a job she didn’t know when she arrived, is a Project Manager. She has been trained, with the support of the entire Smartclic team, and has acquired solid skills that she now passes on to another assistant project manager. “I’ve always wanted to do what I love. With Smartclic, I found my way. I finally have a job that motivates me and makes me getting up happily every morning.

From the creation of the “ready for press’ to the delivery

As a production project manager, Aurélie is in charge of all direct orders from A to Z. Once the project has been validated by the client, she takes charge of the rest of the process, right up to the final delivery. Whether it comes from a craftsman, a small business or a very large company, the order is managed with the same level of commitment.

Creation of visuals (POS and print), textile and/or goodies branding, kiting, delivery method, invoicing…: on every step, Aurélie is there to ensure that everything is in line with the customer’s needs and deadlines. “What I particularly like is the extreme diversity of the tasks. I am in direct contact with the customers with whom I co-build their project, I manage the operational side of things until I put products in boxes when necessary and, at the end, I have the satisfaction of a job well done. When you see a customer coming back, even a year later, it’s very satisfying.” Assisted by a student, Aurélie is not afraid to manage up to 90 orders at the same time. “I know that I can always count on the team: with Smartclic, there is a real spirit of mutual help which I believe is also felt by our customers. This plays a big part in the fact that I love my job so much.
