Interview: Tiphaine Blain, Business Development Manager for Smartclic Switzerland

Since last October, Tiphaine Blain has joined the Smartclic agency in Geneva. Her arrival allows us to strengthen our presence in French-speaking Switzerland and to develop a tailor-made service offer adapted to the specificities of this market.

A happy encounter

Originally from Paris, Tiphaine has been living and working in Geneva for ten years. After a fifteen-year career at Procter & Gamble, seven of which were spent in Geneva, she launched her own luxury watch bracelet company at the end of 2017. A way for her to free herself from the pressure of large groups and to confront the Swiss market. The Smartclic adventure begins for her the day she meets Vincent Daumas, Founder of the Agency.

“We are both graduates from Grenoble Ecole de Management and leaders of the alumni communities in our territories: me in Geneva, him in Nice. In France, Smartclic is based in Saint-Jeannet, a village that I know very well since it is my husband’s grandparents’ village. I don’t believe in faith. Vincent and I have the same vision of things. I like his entrepreneurial spirit. When he proposed me to join Smartclic to develop its activities in Switzerland, I didn’t hesitate for a second. »

A solid business expertise

Beyond her knowledge of the Swiss market, Tiphaine brings a solid experience with her:
Through the various positions I have held, mainly in sales and operational marketing, I have developed a real expertise in customer relations: listening and understanding needs, advanced sales and negotiation techniques and teamwork. All this in a multicultural universe that facilitates my integration in Switzerland.

Assets to make the difference

In a very competitive market like ours, anchoring in the territory and a very good knowledge of legal constraints (mainly customs duties) are essential. With the arrival of Tiphaine, our agency, present in Geneva since 2015, further strengthens its level of expertise.

The challenge for me is to know my customers well in order to provide them with adapted answers, preferably local. Demands are increasingly oriented towards eco-responsible products that require less transport. To do this, we are working to complete our offer with local manufacturers in perfect harmony with our responsible approach“.

So many assets that, we hope, will make the difference with our customers!
