Client Interview: Sidonie SIGNES, Real Estate Agent at ORPI for 17 years: an overflowing and communicative energy.

Zoom on her career and her functions within the ORPI network, n°1 of Real Estate in France.

Can you tell us about your background?

“I have been a real estate agent since 1997. The adventure began with the creation of my “Sud Transactions” Estate in Toulouse. Initially, I was not part of the ORPI network, which I joined 2 years later, in 1999. At that time, the group of  real estate agencies in the Toulouse area only included 14 members. Today, 37 agencies work together.”

Can you present ORPI in a few figures?

Even before talking about figures, it is important to notify that ORPI is a strong and leading brand on its market, which has been defending the following values for 50 years: DEMOCRACY, SHARING & SOLIDARITY.

The network displays the following figures :

  • 4 million people housed in 50 years,
  • 1 property rented or sold every 3 minutes,
  • 1st network with 1200 points of sale,
  • 80 000 properties on orpi.com and in the common file,
  • 6,000 employees in metropolitan France and French overseas departments and territories,
  • 350M€ of turnover in 2015.

Governance is in place and includes 3 councils: the Management Board, the Supervisory Board and the National Disciplinary and Mediation Council (Ed.: of which Sidonie is a member).

What are your different mandates at ORPI?

Since 1997, I am above all manager of my own structure ORPI SUD TRANSACTIONS in Toulouse. Since 2012, I have been President of the GIE ORPI Toulouse, composed of 37 real estate agencies.

I am also elected to the CNDM (National Council of Discipline and Mediation) for a new 3-year term since July 1st, 2016. In total, we are 9 to be elected in this Council, initiated and structured since a few years within ORPI.

As an entrepreneur, what are the benefits to your status?

What is the place of digital and innovation at ORPI?

A true expert and passionate about Digital, Sidonie was able to explain to us with clarity and enthusiasm ORPI’s position on the subject, its digital transformation and the innovations in progress to come.

A few years ago, ORPI conducted a large consumer study to understand the needs of sellers, buyers and lessors in terms of digitalisation. The need for transparency, information, freedom and simplicity emerged from this study.

In 2017, ORPI will launch two new services that give customers complete freedom to define their own real estate itinerary, between offline and online, from “zero commitment” to total management.
