From marketing to sports management, a natural transition full of challenges at Smartclic Sport.
After nearly 5 years as DTP & Marketing Manager at Smartclic, Marianne has started an exciting new adventure in our brand new division dedicated to supporting our customers in the sports world. Today, she shares with us her career path, her challenges and her successes in this new role.
Q: Can you remind us what types of products and services Smartclic Sport offers?
We offer our customers a range specific to sport in the design, manufacture, delivery and installation of signage, merchandising, POS, textiles and all kinds of print media. The areas of application are wide-ranging: sports events, club and federation equipment, various promotions, etc.
Q: What do you enjoy most about your new role?
I’m passionate about marketing and sport! The icing on the cake is that these two areas are closely linked. What’s more, the values of sport that I find in my work are very similar to the values that we’ve been cultivating at Smartclic since we started: evolving yourself, team spirit, helping others and caring for others. I also enjoy the diversity of the projects I work on, particularly in connection with the many sporting events we organise and support throughout the year.
Q: Who are your customers?
We work with the French Tennis Federation, especially on the National Tennis Cup (the biggest amateur tennis tournament in the world), which takes place in Cap d’Agde every October. We also work with French tennis clubs with a range of visibility solutions (including merchandising and signage). We worked alongside with TENNIUM on all the visibility media for the HOPMAN CUP, with the St-Laurent-du-Var town council on the BEACH SPORT FESTIVAL, alongside wih Robin Haziza and his teams for the BULLPADEL SHOW and on several events as part of the local promotion of the PARIS 2024 Olympic Games.
Q: What are the biggest challenges you are facing at Smartclic Sport and how do you overcome them?
My biggest challenge is in the events department, where you have to be extremely reactive because deadlines are often very tight. Rigour and responsiveness are crucial because there’s a lot of volume production and we can’t make mistakes. Everything has to be delivered on time and in accordance with the customer’s wishes. It’s a stimulating challenge that I live with great enthusiasm.
Q: What events have particularly marked your work at Smartclic Sport?
The National Tennis Cup and the Hopman Cup were key moments for us, and were a strong motivation for the launch of Smartclic Sport. These projects were real successes and among our proudest achievements. They were grandiose and very challenging, with great clients. Working on the project from the outset, planning, adjusting, delivering and then attending the launch where thousands of people come to take part of it… It’s an immense source of pride. And it’s all done in an incredible atmosphere with clients who have outstanding professional and human qualities.
Building customer loyalty is our main objective, and the repeat business shows that we’re on the right track. Each success gives us more motivation to continue innovating and offering quality services.
Q: How does the Smartclic team help you with your projects?
We’re lucky to have experts in different fields. This diversity is a real strength because we can share our ideas and constantly exchange ideas. This collaborative spirit enriches our work and enables us to offer our customers ever more innovative solutions.
Q: Do you have any particular ambitions for Smartclic Sport?
Why not being part of other French sports federations in the years to come 😉
Q: Do you have a quote to share with us that guides you on a daily basis?
“Don’t limit your challenges, challenge your limits”.
