🎸Welcome to “Work’n’roll”: the new coworking space dedicated to digital professionals. 🤘🏻

“Work’n’roll” opened its doors at the beginning of June 2024 to welcome freelancers in the creative professions for a place where work and pleasure meet in harmony. Located in Cagnes-sur-Mer, this new coworking space offers a unique experience, combining productivity and conviviality.

As soon as they enter, visitors are greeted by panels combining rockers, actors and fictional characters with digital professions, all created with the help of AI to project themselves in an instant into the theme of the place. A space that inspires creativity.

Every detail is designed to optimise the comfort and performance of coworkers, allowing them to concentrate on their projects. These meetings enable professionals to share their knowledge, expand their network and find new opportunities for growth.

Whether you’re a freelancer, entrepreneur or teleworker, this space is designed for you.

A change of atmosphere for Jean-Michel Lombardo, who after working with Smartclic since 2016, becomes the first Work’n’Roll coworking ambassador.

Could you introduce yourself and tell us about your job?

I’ve been a freelance graphic designer since 2010. I’ve worked from home for all these years, which has given me a great deal of freedom and flexibility. However, I also felt isolated and lacking in stimulating professional interaction. That’s why I decided to join the Work’n’Roll coworking space at Smartclic, a client I’ve been working with for over 8 years on ad hoc assignments. This coworking space is dedicated to professionals in the creative and digital fields, which fits my profile and aspirations perfectly.

What is your specific role within this coworking space?

As well as my work as a graphic designer, I’m also responsible for the coworking space. I’m in charge of welcoming and informing newcomers, ensuring that the space runs smoothly and creating a friendly, collaborative atmosphere.

What do you think of this coworking space’s specialisation in the creative and digital sectors?

I think the specialisation of this coworking space is a major asset. It brings people together who share common interests and skills, which encourages exchange, collaboration and creativity. What’s more, it helps to create a close-knit community and develop a valuable network of professional contacts.

In your opinion, does this specialisation encourage more creativity?

Yes, I’m convinced that the specialisation of this coworking space encourages creativity. By being surrounded by other professionals in the same field, I’m constantly stimulated by new ideas and approaches. What’s more, the exchanges and collaboration help me to push back the boundaries and find innovative solutions. Being immersed in a shared creative universe encourages the emergence of new perspectives and the exploration of unexpected avenues.

What are you expecting from this new coworking space in terms of opportunities, meetings, sharing and atmosphere?

I’m expecting a lot from this coworking space. I’m looking forward to meeting new people, sharing my skills and learning from others. I think this environment will be conducive to creativity and collaboration, and will enable me to develop new professional opportunities.

How would you describe the launch/early days of coworking?

The launch of the coworking space has gone very well. We’ve already welcomed several new members and the atmosphere is very positive. People are enthusiastic about the idea of sharing this space and working together.

Do you find the transition from working alone to a collective coworking environment difficult?

The transition wasn’t easy at first. I was used to working alone without any constraints, and I had to adapt to a new environment that was more structured and punctuated by interactions with the other coworking members. However, I’m quickly getting used to this new way of working and I’m beginning to appreciate the benefits. The collective emulation and stimulating exchanges motivate me and enable me to push back my limits. I’m convinced that the coworking space will be a major asset for my professional and personal development.
